for beauty you can feel.

Hi, I’m Jacquelyn! I’m the owner and artist behind First Looks LLC - and while I’m of course incredibly biased, I believe that what First Looks offers is one-of-a-kind.

Alongside my 10+ years in wedding makeup artistry, I also have a professional background in counseling and education - and First Looks blends these skills together for a trauma-informed beauty experience.

While that may sound like something heavy or intense, being a trauma-informed makeup artist simply means that I recognize, understand, and continually address the potential impacts of trauma (and other mental health needs!) on how someone might experience me and my services. From consent- and comfort-based application techniques to a deep respect for the ways our identities and experiences shape how we might feel about “beauty”, makeup, or our bodies, First Looks is about offering beauty you can truly feel.

“Beauty you can feel” also plays a big role in our emotional support services for wedding planning, which are truly unique! This service helps you and your loved ones navigate the stress, overwhelm, and common challenges (communication, expectations, boundaries, and more!) that so often come up during the wedding planning process.

Whether you’re looking for a beautiful and comfortable makeup application or are hoping to avoid some of the chaos and conflict that can come up during the planning process, I can’t wait to help bring care, compassion, and beauty you can truly feel into your wedding celebration!

YOU ARE WHAT MAKES THIS BEAUTIFUL.
