Jacquelyn is the most amazing makeup artist I have ever had! My makeup looked AMAZING and I got soooo many compliments on it. Jacquelyn uses a really great technique to put on the makeup that makes you feel at ease and relaxed, especially on a day that can be as busy and potentially stressful as your wedding. One of the most amazing parts of working with Jacquelyn at First Looks LLC is that she is also a counselor, and for the bridal packages she provides a 30 minute session with you that I used the week of the wedding to help me relax and and mentally and emotionally prepare for the big day. I truly don't think I would have got through my wedding weekend with Jacquelyn, and I am forever grateful for her making me look and FEEL so amazing! She is truly a one-of-a-kind!

Jacquelyn is absolutely phenomenal! She made me feel more beautiful than ever! My favorite part of her artistry is the Black-owned products that she uses. As a Black woman, that is beyond important and supportive for me. It really shows me that she is passionate about making every client feel valued and beautiful! I one thousand percent recommend her - she really adds the energy needed for any wedding to be successful, and for anyone to feel beyond beautiful and CONFIDENT!

Never ever did I imagine when I was hunting for a makeup artist that I would find someone like Jacquelyn. First off, as far as makeup goes, she made everyone look flawless - her talent is obvious. But when you hire Jacquelyn, you are hiring someone who has the biggest heart.
Whenever I think back to my wedding day, I will forever think of the love and kindness I felt from Jacquelyn. She was truly with me through it all - at one point on the wedding day itself, she was carrying my veil for me (and I didn’t even ask)! I will forever recommend First Looks, and I will be searching for any excuse I can to work with her again!

Jacquelyn was wonderful to work with! During my trial, she listened to what I wanted and what I didn’t want, and she was able to craft a beautiful look for me. On the day of my event, she was right on time, very flexible and communicative with everyone, and adjusted my look as needed. Jacquelyn is a great listener, very enthusiastic and caring, and is very detail-oriented in her work. She seriously did a PHENOMENAL job.

Jacquelyn was the makeup artist for my daughters wedding in June and she was fantastic! I usually do not wear a lot of makeup and I was a little bit nervous to be “all done up,” but I explained to Jacquelyn that I wanted a natural look and she nailed it! Others wanted a more glam look for the day, which she also delivered flawlessly. She made me and the entire wedding party feel so comfortable during the entire experience. She is very personable, professional, humorous and fun.

I cannot recommend Jacquelyn enough. She is phenomenal, not only as an artist, but also as a collaborator and someone who truly wants you to feel your best. One thing that really stuck out to me was that, when I had my makeup preview with her, during the “big reveal” she looked away so that I wouldn’t see her watching me react. In other words, she let me have the moment to myself and allowed me to have an honest reaction, without having to react for her. I felt so empowered and respected. Her whole practice is about helping her clients feel their best selves, and she will go above and beyond to ensure not only that you look beautiful, but that you feel beautiful and uplifted and seen. Jacquelyn is a gem.

Jacquelyn was easily one of our favorite vendors that we hired for our big day! She’s incredibly talented plus her upbeat personality makes hiring her a win-win. As someone who normally just wears a tinted sunscreen and concealer, a full face of make up seemed so scary to me, but Jacquelyn walked me through every step of what she was doing. When I first looked in the mirror - I’m not going to lie - I was overwhelmed. It seemed like so much makeup compared to what I wear everyday but let me tell you - it was absolutely STUNNING in photos, and I have no regrets! The day off, we inevitably got off schedule with other vendors and tension was high - but J kept her cool, kept it light, and honestly made the getting ready experience for me. All of our makeup lasted and again, photographed amazing! I would recommend her without a doubt - she was a fantastic investment and so professional!

Jacquelyn is not only exceptional at her craft, but more importantly she is THE person you want in your corner during the entire wedding process. Jacquelyn is gentle, encouraging, and uplifting throughout the entire application process, and will be your number one hype woman throughout. I never felt like I was in a costume, but rather that my natural beauty was enhanced. She also did my mom's makeup, and my mom was so pleased by everything Jacquelyn did, but even more so with who she is. I was the calmest I'd been throughout the entire wedding planning process on my wedding day, and so much of that is thanks to her. Jacquelyn is a bright light in the wedding world. She is intentional, authentic, energetic, kind, and caring. She highlights her celebrants in the most beautiful way, and supports you as a human being, not just as a client.
